This Web site began in early 1999 quite by accident having recently purchased a PC and having experienced some problems with FTP access. What began as a test to make sure the thing was working properly became the foundation of my Web site for the next eighteen months. To see how the site developed in 1999, click here. The site alternates between getting lots of my attention and being heavily neglected (or at least that was the case in early 2000). The suggestion of a redesign was first seriously floated towards the end of 1999 but due to other commitments was never effected. However in late January/February work was done offline to create a new site both in terms of design, navigation and creation of new content areas. Although completed the site never made it "live" as I was unhappy with the overall look and feel and considered that an extra couple of weeks (months?) of delay wouldn't have a serious effect. The redesign was formally scheduled for mid-September 2000 with a weeks annual leave from work to ensure it happened this time. A final week in late February 2001 saw the site *finally* go live. This site is therefore version 2.0 - enjoy. Having moved way back in September 2001, in a huge error of personal judgement asked NTL to install a phone line which they spent the next six months avoiding actually doing. Phone line and Internet access was restored in late March 2002 and the site is undergoing a 'spring clean' to reflect all the changes that have taken place in this time.
