The idea was that in 2000 I made a sustained effort to do things rather than talking about doing things. You know being out with friends and saying "I'd really like to see that film" but you never get round to it. Some of these things may be really silly or I might not actually enjoy them but the idea is that I can look back on the year and say I at least tried it even if I didn't enjoy it.
